Payment
A deposit of 25% (non-refundable) is payable on booking to secure the accommodation. payment is made via bank transfer.
The remaining balance is to be paid 10 weeks prior to the start of your stay. You will receive email confirmation when payment has been received. During the booking process please inform us if you wish to bring a dog along for your stay. There is an additional £25 per week per dog payment. We also ask that you pay a £100 damage retainer in the event the dog causes damage to any fixtures and fittings during the stay. This will be refunded within 7 days of your departure should the cottage be left in a satisfactory condition (this is at the discretion of the owners).
If you wish to change any detail of your confirmed booking you must notify us via email or phone as soon as possible and we will endeavour to accommodate the changes, Please note that no refund will be given if you choose to cut short your stay at Loughviews.
Customer Cancelations
If you choose to cancel the booking after confirmation you must notify us as soon as possible. The date we receive notice of your cancellation is the date on which we cancel your booking. You will pay a cancellation fee based on the amount of days prior to the booking date.
70 + days prior loss of deposit
42 + days 50% total cost
28 + days 75% total cost
less than 28 days 100% of cost
If we are able to reallocate your cancelled booking we reserve the right to partially refund your cancellation fees.
Customer Obligations
Arrivals and departure:
Arrive any time after 3pm (unless agreed otherwise). If your arrival is delayed beyond 8pm please contact the owners of Loughviews
Please vacate Loughviews by 10am
Please leave the cottage clean and tidy as you found it
Behaviour:
Behave in a way that does not break any laws whilst staying at Loughviews
Do not use Loughviews for any illegal or commercial purpose
Do not sublet Loughviews
Do not behave in an unsocial manner or in any way that will disturb the residents of Greenlee Farm
No smoking. Loughviews is a non-smoking accommodation.
Please report any breakages or damage to the property or furnishings to the owners
Dog policy
A charge of £25 per dog per week is payable on booking. In addition to a damage retainer of £100 also payable on booking, this will be refunded within 7 days of departure if Loughviews is in an acceptable condition.
Dog owners must:
Not allow dogs on any furniture during the stay
Not leave dogs unattended in the cottage during the stay
Keep dogs on a lead outside of the cottage and supervised at all times when in the garden. Greenlee Farm have dogs, cats and various breeds of birds and dogs must not be allowed to disturb them.
Close gates to the farm and Loughviews garden immediately as we are surrounded by grazing cattle
Clean up after their dogs, bag and bin all poo bags during your stay
The owners of Loughviews cannot guarantee that all gates and boundary fences are secure so please observe dogs at all times. Any damage caused by visitors dogs during the stay must be paid for.
Track Policy
Loughviews and Greenlee Farm are accessed via a 1.5 mile farm track that crosses private farm land and land owned by Northumberland National Park. We expect anyone visiting Loughviews to cross this land in a sensible and conscientious manner.
You must:
Drive slowly and cautiously due to livestock on the land
Close gates immediately after passing through
Be aware that the track does have fords, potholes and raised verges. Loughviews accepts no responsibility or liability for any damage to visitors vehicles. Vehicles with low ground clearance may find it difficult to access the track up to Loughviews.
Loughviews accepts no responsibility or liability for visitors who cause damage or death to livestock due to irresponsible driving or neglect in closing gates immediately after passing through. Visitors may be liable to pay damages/compensation to the livestock owner.
Be aware that in the event of adverse weather conditions i.e. snow it may prove difficult to vacate Loughviews. In this instance the owners reserve the right to charge for any further nights accommodation.
